Despite holding a college degree in Kinesiology, Caraway and girlfriend Miesha Tate, also a professional fighter, left their jobs and their home so that they could train full-time. The couple currently lives in an RV that is parked in the backyard of trainer and former UFC fighter Dennis Hallman.
The end game for Caraway is to not only train full-time, but fight full-time by finding a steady home with a major national promotion so that he can begin to earn a living wage from fighting.
